Feb. 15, 1020

I've spent the past 8 weeks working on two new pieces for concert band.
"Cobalt Fire" has been commissioned by the Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Wind Ensemble
to celebrate the career of Bill Johnson, who is retiring after 43 years teaching at Cal Poly.
It is my honor to compose a piece for one of my most influential music mentors.
I've written "Chaos Theory" for the 2010 All-State Festival Wind Orchestra, which I am guest conducting this coming April.
